Sterling & Me is one of the few USA retailers for Puppi Wool Covers from Poland!
Puppi newborn diaper covers are made of two layers of extremely soft and thin merino wool flannel. Beautiful diapers with colorful snaps and decorative stitching. The leg elastics are soft yet very stretchy, which will give your newborn a comfortable fit.
All Puppi diaper colors are limited edition!
Puppi diapers are not only a healthy alternative for your child’s skin, but also care for the environment. All fabrics we use are biodegradable.
Once lanolised, these covers hold moisture very effectively. Wool is an extremely versatile fabric for cloth diapering-- it is breathable, temperature regulating (perfect for both cold and hot days), soft, and naturally antibacterial. Lanolin breaks down urine, so it does not need to be washed as often as PUL diapers. Simply hang to dry between uses. However, hand washing with wool detergent and re-lanolising is necessary on wash day.
These covers may be used with our newborn fitted or prefold diapers.
Most babies need no more than 4 or 5 diaper covers.

Wool tips from PUPPI diapers:
At first the idea of treating and washing wool a certain way might be frightening, however both washing wool and doing a lanolin treatment is very simple and doesn’t require special skills.
- If the wool cover is just a little bit damp, the only thing you need to do is to hang it to dry.
- If the cover is very wet, you need to rinse it in clean water, gently squeeze out (do not wring out) and hang it to dry.
- If the cover is soiled you need to wash it in lukewarm water with one tablespoon of wool detergent, rinse it in clean water, gently squeeze (not wring) out and hang it to dry.
Easy! These are the simple steps for everyday wool covers care. However, from time to time they will need some special washing and lanolising. Depending on the intensity of use after some time (2-3 months) wool cover will not “hold” the moisture so well. That means that the lanolin has rinsed out of its fibers that makes the wool keep its special advantages (no leaks and antibacterial properties) and you will need to make a lanolin treatment.
After lanolin treatment, the cover might seem sticky. This is normal and will be gone after 1-2 uses of cover.
Thanks to its chemical and physical properties, wool doesn’t need to be washed very often. If it doesn’t get soiled, it’s enough to wash it every second week. The structure of wool fibers makes them repel dirt and neutralize smells. Lanolin contained in the fibers doesn’t let bacteria grow. However, lanolin treatment from time to time is necessary.
